부탁한 것을 말할 때

제안한 것을 말할 때

요청하려고 할 때

I will ask them to be quiet.

I will ask them to slow down a little bit.


묻다뿐만 아니라 "부탁한다"라는 의미가 있음. (I asked ... for ~=>주로 어떤 물건을 가져다 달라고 부탁할 때)

나한테 다시 말해달라고 부탁했어요. (I ask.. to~" 어떤 행동을 부탁할때도 쓰인다.)
